Yarn Doll
Supplies: yarn (wool), scissors, small book or a card board.
How to do..
Wrap the yarn around the book around 70 times. Wrap the yarn tight enough so that it does not slide off but not so tight that it stretches.
Slide off the yarn from the book and then cut it along the bottom edge. Pull the yarn off the book making sure to keep all of the pieces together. Then cut another bundle of yarn and wrap it the same way as before. Then put it under the first yarn as shown and tie another piece of small yard on top to keep it together for making the doll's hair. Tie a piece of yarn for the neck.
Wrap more yarn(use diffrent colour) around the book for the arms. This time, wrap the yarn half as many times as you did the first time. Cut the wrapped yarn at the bottom edge and tie a piece of yarn to the bundle. Braid the yarn, tie it off 1 inch at the end.
Slide the braid into the doll's body just below the neck.Tie a piece of yarn around the doll's waist, right under the arms.
Now split the bottom yarn into two parts and then braid it both the sides. Tie a piece of yarn at the end.
Draw the eyes and lips using colour. The doll is now ready.

Making a yarn doll is a great way to spend quality time with children. Not only that, but u'll give them something to play with and make them happy. Besides that, yarn dolls could be cute tied on the top of a smartly wrapped present or on a gift bag handle. That would add a handmade touch and a little character to any gift.
